It was recorded by Owsley Stanley at the Fillmore East in Manhattan on February 11, 13, and 14, 1970. It was released on CD in 1996, and went out of print soon thereafter. The Allman Brothers live at the Fillmore East in the finale for this venue, on 6/27/1971. A news announcer reads the obituary for this old concert hall, and Bill Graham introduces the band. This final show at the Fillmore East was lightly attended as it was closed to the public, but also broadcast on WNEW FM, New York City.
